CAVW04 INFODAPTER INTERFACE TO SUIT VOLKSWAGEN – VARIOUS MODELS MIB II UNITS ONLY

The Aerpro CAVW04 Infodapter Interface retains steering wheel control functionality and allows vehicle information such as menus, climate control and parking sensor graphics to be displayed on any aftermarket AV headunit. This information would usually be displayed on the original head unit and therefore would not be retained without use of an Aerpro Infodapter. Engineered to suit various Volkswagen vehicles with MIB II systems, the Infodatper Interface connects to the rear camera input on the aftermarket AV headunit and includes a harness that is fitted with a vehicle specific plug designed to connect directly into the existing wiring in the vehicle with ease. Installation of the aftermarket headunit is simplified even further when paired with the optional Aerpro APP9 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness & SWC Patch Lead, which connects between the aftermarket headunit and the Aerpro Infodapter Interface. This interface is CANBUS compatible therefore no other modules are required and it provides various outputs including reverse, park brake and speed pulse.

  • Please Note:
    • Infodapter Interfaces vary between models, to find the correct part for your vehicle use the Aerpro Vehicle Selector.
    • A Steering Wheel Control Patch Lead is required to be used in conjunction with this part to enable Steering Wheel Controls to function (sold separately).
    • Aftermarket headunit must be SWC compatible and Steering Wheel Control Functions may vary from the OEM Functions.
    • Aftermarket headunit requires a rear RCA camera input.
    • To retain a factory fitted camera, an additional vehicle specific camera retention harness is required (sold separately).
    • Please be aware when installing a High Definition Camera, the camera resolution will be reduced using this product.
    • This product is for vehicles with MIB II systems only. Features related to Connected Car - which include E-Call and We Connect - are not actively retained via the Infodapter, they may however have limited functionality within the background.
    • Updates to the vehicle's software through the dealership service department may have an impact on the functionality of this product.
