The Aerpro CBA5F1 6dBi 477MHz 1520mm 3 Coil Fibreglass UHF Antenna Whip is compatible with Aerpro Elevated Feed UHF Antennas and other major brands of antennas and mounting bases with 5/16" thread. Due to the 3 coil design, when fitted to a ground plane this antenna will give 6dBI gain and when fitted to an elevated feed mount this will give 9dBi of gain. With 6dBi gain, the elliptical radiation pattern is more rounded compared to a high gain antenna and radiates further compared to a low gain antenna, making it ideal for medium range communication in various environments such as suburban landscapes, towns and low density woodlands. With 9dBi gain, this antenna is best suited for long range communication covering wide open spaces such as deserts, plains and low density woodlands as it produces a much longer but flatter UHF signal compared to lower gain antennas. The 1520mm antenna whip features a fibreglass mast with 3 external coil loads which is weather sealed and fitted with a 5/16" thread for easy removal. This antenna whip is ground dependent, so it is recommended to be mounted on an elevated feed base or ground plane for maximum performance. The CBA5F1 is a good all-purpose town and country antenna whip.
