The fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail (T33) was unveiled at Auto Shanghai on 19 April 2021 and launched in Australia in May 2022, with the e-4ORCE hybrid added in early 2023 and a facelift arriving on 17 February 2026. Australian trim levels are ST, ST-L, Ti and Ti-L, with the ST and ST-L offered as five or seven seaters, the Ti and Ti-L standard as five seaters, and a seven-seat option on the Ti 4WD. Standard power comes from a 2.5 L naturally aspirated petrol engine with Xtronic CVT and either front-wheel drive or optional 4WD, which is standard on the Ti and Ti-L, while the e-POWER series hybrid pairs a 1.5 L VC-Turbo three-cylinder with a single-speed drive and dual-motor e-4ORCE all-wheel drive. No diesel is offered in this generation.
